KID 2018 - Knowledge Dynamics, Industry Evolution, Economic Development 1-7th July 2018, Nice, France Thematic School InSHS CNRS and UCAJEDI International Summerschool

The 7th summer school on “Knowledge Dynamics, Industrial Evolution, Economic Development” (KID 2018) will be held 1-7 of July, 2018, Le Saint Paul Hotel-Maison du Séminaire, 29 Bd Franck Pilatte, Nice (France).

KID 2018 will focus on theoretical and empirical studies on knowledge dynamics, industrial evolution and economic development: smart cities, emergence and persistence of innovation, entrepreneurship, firms’ growth, corporate governance and performance, agglomeration/dispersion of industrial activities, skills dynamics, economics of science and innovation, environment as a driver of innovation.

KID 2018 is a Thematic School funded by CNRS (Thematic School InSHS CNRS) and UCAJEDI International Summer School (Initiative d’Excellence JEDI Université Côte d’Azur). It has trained so far more than 100 PhD and post docs participants to the highest research standards.

KID 2018 is an action of Eurkind, a research network focusing on how knowledge, innovation, and development should be articulated for a better society in Europe. It brings together reputable scientists in economics and social sciences, but also in mathematics, physics, computer sciences, environment and life sciences, belonging to European as well as non-European academic institutions.

Like in previous editions, KID 2018 takes place in the beginning of July, in one of the most beautiful locations of the French Riviera: Hotel Saint Paul-Maison du Séminaire.

Submission: PhD students, young or confirmedresearchers willing to attend the summer school can apply by posting an application in one single pdf document including i) a letter of motivation for attending the summer school, ii) a research proposal (5 pages), iii) if any, the paper you are willing to present.

Summer school prize competition: The KID 2018 prize will award the best paper presented during the students’ presentations sessions.

Summer school Fees:

Summer school fees for participants (300 euros) include registration to the summer school (access to the summer school lectures and presentations, breaks, lunches, summer school dinners), and hotel accommodation at Saint Paul Hotel - Hotel Maison du Séminaire (twin rooms accommodation, i.e., 2 participants per room, with breakfast included, 6 nights, arrival Sunday July 1, departure Saturday July 7).

Fees can be paid only by credit card and online.
